Stocks rebound ahead of Fed decision
Stocks gained Wednesday morning to shake off some losses after a couple of volatile session on Wall Street. Investors looked to the Federal Reserve’s latest statement and press conference to remove some uncertainty on the outlook for monetary policy.
The S&P 500 rose by more than 1% just after the opening bell. The index closed lower for a fifth time in six sessions on Tuesday, extending volatility after Monday’s rollercoaster trading day. The Nasdaq gained more than 2%.
